About the ALKU Cabin
ALKU means “the beginning” in Finnish. It represents SOKÏO’s first design featuring a 100% CLT structure.
The ALKU cabin is also the most compact model in the SOKÏO system, developed in collaboration with Ultralocal. Elevated on piles, it offers a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape while adapting to the most challenging terrains: unstable soils, steep slopes, and sensitive natural environments. Its solid mass timber (CLT) structure combines strength, high performance, and a sleek, minimalist aesthetic.
Delivered as a kit within this compact footprint, ALKU successfully integrates a kitchenette, a full bathroom, a bedroom with bunk beds, and a living area—a complete program with zero compromises on comfort.
Designed for resort operators and discerning outdoor enthusiasts, it can be assembled in just a few days, making it a premier solution for high-end glamping, rental chalets, or mountain shelters.
